The reception rooms at the Royal Palace
The reception rooms at the Royal Palace reflect the various interior styles that were fashionable during the 25 years it took to build the Palace. Pompeian frescoes decorate the Banqueting Hall and the Family Dining Room, National Romanticism is the theme of the Bird Room, and the first signs of Neo-Rococo can be seen in the White Parlour. The interiors have also been influenced by the personal taste and needs of the various occupants. The buildings architectural style is a mixture of Late Empire and Neo-Classicism.
