First 13 14 15 16 17 18State Visit to Finland - Day 3
On the last day of Their Majesties The King and Queen’s visit to Finland, the Royal Yacht reached Turku on the western coast. The city of Turku was established in the 13th century, and is considered to be the oldest city in Finland.
State Visit to Finland Day 2
On the second day of Their Majesties The King and Queen’s visit to Finland, King Harald opened a business seminar on ICT and design, while Queen Sonja gave the opening speech at the peace seminar “Women, Peace and Security”. The day also held several cultural events.
World Environment Day
Norway was host for the main international celebrations of the World Environment Day, 3 - 5 June 2007. His Royal Highness The Crown Prince attended the first day of celebrations on Sunday, which started with a non-denominational church service in the Arctic Cathedral.
State Visit to Finland
Their Majesties The King and Queen’s started their State Visit to Finland on Tuesday. The King and Queen were received by Her Excellency President Tarja Halonen with a welcoming ceremony outside the presidential palace in Helsinki.
The Queen visits Shetland
Thursday, Her Majesty The Queen attended the opening of the new Shetland Museum and Archives. Also in attendance were Their Royal Highnesses Price Charles and Duchess Camilla, Duke and Duchess of Rothesay. In addition, Queen Sonja visited Scalloway, home base to the Shetland Bus during WWII.
Bergen International Festival
On Wednesday, His Majesty The King officially opened the Bergen International Festival. King Harald and Queen Sonja were both in attendance as the festival began its 55th season.
The Abel Prize 2007
Their Majesties The King and Queen were both in attendance when Professor Srinivasa S. R. Varadhan was presented with the Abel Prize in the University Aula in Oslo Tuesday. Earlier the same morning, Their Majesties granted the Abel Laureate an audience at the Royal Palace.

Official visit to Korea Day 4
On their last day in Korea, Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and Crown Princess visited the shipping line EUKOR and Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan. They also attended the May 17th celebrations hosted by the Norwegian community in the area.
Official visit to Korea Day 3
Today, Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and Crown Princess travelled on to Busan, where they attended the opening of a day of business seminars focusing on the maritime sector. In the afternoon they visited the United Nations Memorial Cemetery Korea.

On day 2 of their official visit to the Republic of Korea, Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince and Crown Princess attended seminars on business, tourism, work and family life, and Crown Prince Haakon gave a lecture at Korea University.

Norwegian Travel Workshop
On Monday Her Majesty Queen Sonja attended the opening of the Norwegian Travel Workshop in Kristiansand, where she presented the organisation’s distinguished service award. The award was presented for the first time this year.
State visit from Austria
Their Majesties The King and Queen welcomed His Excellency the Federal President of The Republic of Austria Dr. Heinz Fischer and Mrs. Margit Fischer on the Palace square today.
Human Development Awards
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon will sit on the panel of judges that selects the recipients of the UNDP Awards for Human Development. The awards are granted in several categories, and the awards ceremony will be held in New York on 12 April.
Ready for the national finals
Five young singing talents are ready for the national finals of the Queen Sonja International Music Competition following the preliminary and semi-final rounds held at the Norwegian Academy of Music. The national finals will take place in Bergen on 26 April.
Munch and modernity
Her Majesty Queen Sonja attended the opening of the Edvard Munch exhibition entitled Zeichen der Moderne (“Signs of Modernity”) at the Fondation Beyeler museum in Riehen near Basel, Switzerland, on 17 March 2007. The Queen is the patron of the exhibition.

Conference on immigrant womens issues
On Thursday Her Majesty Queen Sonja and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the opening of a conference on immigrant women’s issues at Sentrum Scene, a public venue in Oslo.

This morning Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette-Marit gave the opening address at a breakfast meeting for business leaders hosted by the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonas Gahr Støre and the Minister of International Development Erik Solheim.
International Polar Year 2007-2008
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon presided over the Norwegian opening of International Polar Year in a ceremony at Oslo Town Hall.
