The funeral service for Her Highness Princess Ragnhild, Mrs Lorentzen was held on Friday, 28 September 2012. The Princess passed away at her home in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil on 16 September. She was 82 years old.
Opened wind farm in the UK
Today, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon officially opened the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm off the eastern coast of England. The facility will provide clean energy to more than 200 000 households in the UK.

The 60th Bergen International Festival

The centennial anniversary of Roald Amundsen’s arrival at the South Pole was commemorated today. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon was in attendance at the festivities in the city of Tromsø, known as the gateway to the Arctic Ocean.
